HULL - Carl Talmadge Booth, 73, died at his residence on Friday, June 24, 2011, after a valiant two year fight against lung cancer.
He was the son of the late Erla B. and Edna Brown Booth of Comer. Mr. Booth was preceded in death by a brother, George B. Booth, Comer. He was retired from Westinghouse/ABB in Athens. He served as a deacon of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Hull, for many years.
Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Ramona Hawkes Booth; a daughter Melody B. Kesler (Scott); son, Jason W. Booth (Lynn); three precious grandsons, Bo Gannon, Burke Booth and Grayson Kesler; siblings, Henry (Carol) Booth, Mary Lou Parham, all of Danielsville, and Wilma Drake, Hilda White (Joe), Bobbie (Calvin) Coile, and Trudy Booth, all of Comer; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Neese, on Monday, June 27, with the Revs. Dayton Logan, Bill Wood and Jonathan Tolbert officiating. Deacons of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church served as pallbearers.
