WINDER – Jack Harold Jordan Sr., 77, died Monday, June 20, 2011.
Born in Perkinston, Miss., he was the son of the late George Washington and Lena Knight Jordan. He was self-employed as a carpenter and was a member of Peoples Baptist Church of Jefferson.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jordan, Winder; daughters, Sonja Duncan, Diamond Head, Miss., Wanda Sue Mayeaux, Franklinton, La.; sons, Jack Jordan Jr., Randall Lamont Jordan, Dennis Elroy Jordan, Paul Hugh Jordan, George Lance Jordan, all of Franklinton, La., Billy Vance Jordan, Lewisburg W. Va.; stepsons, Timothy Bass, Newnan, James Bass, Turtle Town, Tenn.; adopted son, Johnny Gibson, Mississippi; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Ryles, Mobile, Ala., Carolyn Jordan, Perkinston, Miss; brothers, George Edward Jordan, Palaca, Texas, Joel Edgar Jordan, Perkinston, Miss.; 27 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 24, at 2 p.m., from the Peoples Baptist Church with the Revs. Joel Shadburn, James Gooch and Harold Gaddy officiating. Burial will be at Evans Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the residence, 103 PickleSimon Rd., Winder, GA, on Tuesday, June 21, starting at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 22 and Thursday, June 23.
