Janie Potts (6-15-11)

COMMERCE – Janie Potts, 64, died Wednesday afternoon, June 15, 2011, at her residence.

Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Mildred Jeanette Westmoreland McDonald. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Potts, who died on June 5, and whose funeral service she will share.

Survivors include sons, Terry Potts and Daniel McDonald, both of Commerce; brothers, Bodie McDonald, Commerce, and Clyde McDonald, Dry Pond; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 18, from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. T. Gary Thompson officiating. Burial was in the Grey Hill Cemetery.

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
