WINDER – Harry Brown, 66, died Friday, June 10, 2011.
A native of Winder, he was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation after 30 years of service and graduated in 1963 from Winder-Barrow High School. He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Dacula. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Louise Johnson Brown and his wife, Mevis Wilbanks Brown.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Stacey Brown, Bethlehem; grandchildren, Tyler, Kayla and Connor Brown, all of Bethlehem; and special friend, Dee Moore, Dacula.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 17, from the chapel of Carter Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Brent officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m., Thursday, June 16, at the funeral home.
Carter Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
