BRASELTON - Jimmy Carlton Allison, 72, died on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Bell-Minor Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Born May 22, 1939, in Demorest, he was the son of Grace James Grogan of Braselton and the late J.R. Grogan. He was a retired self-employed truck driver and attended the Center United Methodist Church. Mr. Allison was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Allison.

Survivors in addition to his mother, include a sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Maurice Stancil, Braselton; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, June 11, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Revs. Glenn Parrish and Blane Spence officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 10, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, Gainesville, is in charge of arrangements.
