Keith Hardy

Keith Hardy, 35, of Winder, died Sunday, August 10, 2008.

A lifelong resident of Barrow County, he was the son of Dianne and Larry Hardy and was employed as an electrician with Performance Electric Company of Winder. Since childhood he was an avid, well educated hunter and had a genuine love for anything related to the great outdoors. He had won a four wheeler from the Georgia Outdoor News Big Buck contest. Mr. Hardy was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Hazel Hardy; and maternal grandfather, Sammy Evans.

Survivors in addition to his parents, include his wife, Susan Hardy, Winder; daughters, Taylor Hardy and Georgie Hardy, Winder; grandmother, Bonnie Evans, Winder; grandfather, Hoyt Junior Hardy, Winder; and friends, Jason Phillips and Paul Evans.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 13, in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home with the Revs. Hal Tapp and Jerry Hardy officiating. Burial was in Barrow Memorial Gardens.

Carter Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.

Keith was a good friend of mine and he will be missed greatly. We attended many kart races together along with his father Larry. I will remember all of the fun we had at the races and nearly every race was a win for Keith and his father...they really made a great team. Long live HPK. I will miss you Keith, rest in peace my friend.
