CORNELIA - David Wilson, 60, died on Sunday, June 5, 2011, at his residence following an extended illness.
Born March 19, 1951 in Commerce, he was the son Lois Jean Archer Wilson and the late Hezziekiah Wilson, Jr. He was of the Baptist denomination
Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Lisa Irvin Wilson; children, Amanda and Joey Cagle, North Carolina, David Keith Wilson, Commerce, and Christine Wilson, South Carolina; grandchildren, David Nicholas Wilson, Commerce, Karma Golden and Cammilla Golden, both of South Carolina; sisters and brothers-in-laws, Barbara and Jon Milford and Mary and Rodney Gary, all of Commerce, and Vickie and John Russell, Anderson, S.C.; brother, Daniel Wilson, Commerce; seven nieces and nephews; five great-nieces and nephews; several uncles and aunts; special friend, Mike Archer; special niece and nephew, Alyson and John Self and children, Kaydance, Isabella and Connor; and mother-in-law, Marie Butler.
Memorial services are scheduled for Wednesday, June 8, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Sargent officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 8, from 9 to 11 a.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, Heart Donations Department, 1101-1 North Chase Parkway, SE, Marietta, GA 30067.
Memorial Park Funeral Home, Gainesville, is in charge of arrangements.
