JEFFERSON – Dorothy Scott Watters, 81, died Sunday, June 5, 2011, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born in Maysville, she was the daughter of the late John Scott Sr. and Juanita Tucker Scott . She was a homemaker. Mrs. Watters was preceded in death by brothers, Jack Scott and John Scott Jr.; and a sister, Bonnie Scott Turner.
Survivors include her husband, Fred Watters, Jefferson; sons, Barry Moore, Gainesville, and Gary Moore, Commerce; sisters, Johnnie Sanders, Maysville, and Judy Middlebrooks, Derby, Kan.; and one granddaughter, Christie Slayton.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 8, at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Harris officiating. Burial will be held at Unity Christian Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 7 at the funeral home.

Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
