GAINESVILLE - Harley “Cecil” Wilbanks, 95, died Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Landmark Hospital.
Born in Commerce, he was the son of the late, Charlie and Lula Vaughn Wilbanks. He was a retired photographer and owner of Hardy Studio in Gainesville. Mr. Wilbanks was a member of Harmony Hall Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Stella Henderson Wilbanks, Gainesville; daughter, Carol Campbell, Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and James Chester, Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Harris and Ann Wilbanks, Gainesville; brother; Grady Wilbanks, Commerce; sisters, Rozelle Hanley, Alnora Bone and Callie Mae Hanley, all of Commerce, and Doris Farmer, Toccoa; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Friday, May 27, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. John Kinsey officiating. Burial will be at Hudson River Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, May 26, from 6 to 8 p.m..
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
