BALDWIN – Thomas Tyler Ferguson, 20, died Sunday, May 22, 2011, following injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born on April 5, 1991, in Habersham County, he was a 2009 graduate of Banks County High School. He was an employee of the Tencate Nicolon Manufacturing Company. He attended the Heady Mountain Baptist Church and the Mountain View Baptist Church. Mr. Ferguson was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ann Grogan.
Survivors include his fiancé, Jennifer Abernathy, Gainesville; mother, Tracy Moore Ferguson and Tony McCall, Cashiers, N.C.; father and stepmother, Tommy and Jody Ferguson, Baldwin; sister, Tori Ferguson, Cashiers, N.C.; brothers, Haden Martin, Colbert, and Haze Ferguson, Baldwin; grandfather, Jerry Grogan, Westminster, S.C.; grandparents, Anthony and Rachel Ferguson, Baldwin, and Nancy and Mitchell Goss, Colbert; great-grandparents, Martha (Mrs. Tom) Ferguson, Baldwin, and Moley and Reba Oliver, Lula; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 26, at 11 a.m., from Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel. Burial will be in the Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, May 24, from 6 to 9 p.m. and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25.
