Terry Helms (5-21-11)

BRASELTON – Terry Shannon Helms, 38, died Saturday, May 21, 2011.

Born in Gainesville on October 17, 1972, he was the son of Terry and Belinda Harkins Helms. He was a cook at Dam’s Restaurant in Braselton.

Survivors in addition to his parents include sons, Josh Helms, Florence, S.C., and Michael Helms, Braselton; daughter, Breanna Helms, Florence, S.C.; sister, Melissa Francis, Hartwell; maternal grandparents, Hoyt and Maxine Harkins, Braselton; nephews, Chris Helms and Austin Francis; and a niece, Ceirra Francis.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 25, at 2 p.m., from Memorial Park South Chapel Funeral Home with Pastors Tammy Schmucker, Calvin Gooch, and the Rev. Genelle King officiating. Entombment will be at Memorial Park South Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, May 24, from 6 to 8 p.m.
