NICHOLSON – Michayla Lynn Staton, 15, died Thursday, April 28, 2011, at her residence.
She was the daughter of Casey (Sharan) Station of Athens and Deborah Scogin (Lewis) Ward of Nicholson. She was a student at East Jackson Comprehensive High School.
Survivors in addition to her parents include a brother, Dylan Staton, Athens; and sister, Victoria Ward, Nicholson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 30, at 2 p.m., from Nicholson Baptist Church with the Revs. Willie Chalker and Blake Foster officiating. Burial will be in Patterson-Scogin Cemetery in Colbert. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, April 29, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
