‘Stan’ Truelove (4-17-11)

GAINESVILLE - Stanley “Stan” Leroy Truelove, 55, a former Jackson Countian, died Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Lakewood Baptist Church with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Tom Smiley and the Rev. Robert Puckett will officiate the services.

Mr. Truelove was born in Hall County and graduated from North Hall High School in 1973. He attended Western Carolina University on a football scholarship and also attended Gainesville College. He was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church. Mr. Truelove was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Truelove, and brother, Mike Truelove.

He is survived by his wife, Jane (Green) Truelove; mother, Betty (Patterson) Truelove; sons and daughters-in-law, Tyler and Carla Truelove and Taylor and Brittany Truelove, all of Jefferson; three grandchildren, Gracie Beth, Ty and Macy Mae Truelove, all of Jefferson; sister and brother-in-law, Lajuania (Truelove) and Steve Lester; nephew and wife, Steven and Michele Lester; nieces and husbands, Natalie (Lester) and Beau Wilson; Brandi (Truelove) and Kyle Hewell; great-nieces and nephews, Tré and Channing; Berkeley; Kayden, Kylen, Kynsleigh and Kolston; special relatives, Keith and Diane Ariail, Jefferson.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to “Rays of Hope,” Lakewood Baptist Church, 2235 Thompson Bridge Road, Gainesville, GA 30501.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, North Riverside Chapel, Gainesville, is in charge of arrangements.
