COMER – Grover Cleveland McElroy, 51, died Thursday, April 14, 2011, at the Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens.
He was born in Clarke County on February 27, 1960, the son of the late Grover H. and Eula Dorsey McElroy. He was a forklift operator at Lowe’s and was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include his wife, Janice M. Epps McElroy, Comer; a son, Jason Lee McElroy, Temple; stepsons, Terry Lee Hill, Tallahassee, Fla., and Kerry Lee Hill and Randy Paul Hill, both of Colbert; sister, Mary Elaine Haynie, Clarke County; and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 18, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Revs. Wayne Wills and Larry Elliott officiating. Burial will be in the Danielsville Memorial Gardens in Danielsville. The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends Sunday, April 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. The family is at home.
