ROYSTON – Emma Jean Martin Boggs, 81, died Thursday, April 14, 2011, at her residence.
Born in Beckley, W.Va., on May 15, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Claris Wills Boggs. She was a homemaker and a member of the Jones Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Boggs was preceded in death by her husband, Donald H. Boggs.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Sheldon and Dorothy Boggs, Mt. Airy, Donald and Beth Boggs, Palm Bay, Fla., and Dennis and Robin Boggs, Snellville; daughters, Donna Williford and Denise Sands, both of Royston; brother, Troy Martin, West Melbourne, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 17, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Jones Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Danielsville. The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends Saturday, April 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. The family is at home.
