PENDERGRASS – Lamar Beatty, 70, died Tuesday, April 12, 2011, following an extended illness.
Born on March 27, 1941, he was the son of the Edith Louise Beatty of Pendergrass and the late Edward Guy Beatty. He was retired from Cottrell Transport Equipment Company as a truck driver with more than 20 years of service and was a veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors in addition to his mother include a son, David (Lisa) Beatty, Pendergrass; ex-wife, Owida Beatty, Pendergrass; five step-children; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
