WINDER – Willard T. “Pete” Kyte Jr., 81, died Saturday, April 2, 2011.
A native of Butler, Tenn., he was the son of the late Willard T. Kyte Sr. and Maude Lillie Stout Kyte. He was a retired truck driver and of the Baptist denomination.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Freida Kyte, Winder; sons and daughters-in-law, Conrad and Vicki Kyte, Winder, Tommy and Velma Kyte and Dean Kyte, all of Jefferson; daughters and son-in-law, Debra Kyte, Penny Kyte and Lisa Romero, all of Winder , Kathy and Joe Camfield, Athens; brothers, Jack Kyte and Shirrel Kyte, both of Elizabethon, Tenn.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 5, at 2 p.m., at Rose Hill Cemetery in Winder with the Revs. Larry Youngblood and Dave Stroup officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, April 4, from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Carter Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
