COMMERCE – Thomas Junior Morris, 90, died Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at BJC Nursing Home.
Born in Banks County, he was the son of the late Thomas Christopher and Mary Eugene Scales Morris. He was a member of Apple Valley Baptist Church, was a spinning room textile worker and a United States World War II Army Veteran. Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Thomas Morris.
Survivors include sons, Thomas Jerry Morris and William Dan Morris, both of Commerce; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 31, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry Webb officiating. Burial will be at Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, March 30, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
