COMMERCE – Charles Edward “Pappy” Collins, 96, died Saturday, March 26, 2011, at BJC Medical Center in Commerce.
Born in Hall County, he was the son of the late George and Clementine Collins. He was a retired service station owner, member of the Madison Street Baptist church, and a World War II United States Army veteran. Mr. Collins was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Tucker Collins; son, Jimmy Collins; and daughter, Charla Collins.
Survivors include six grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 28, from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Revs. David Harbin and Jim Waller officiating. Burial was in Grey Hill Cemetery.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
