JEFFERSON – Jimmy Thomas Wheeler, 61, died Saturday, March 26, 2011.

Born in Jefferson, he was the son of Evie Lou Wheeler, Jefferson, and the late Willie Whitlock and was retired from the textile industry. Mr. Wheeler was preceded in death by a brother, William Wheeler; and sister, Pearlie Mae Wheeler.

Survivors in addition to his mother include a sister, Geraldine Wheeler, Jefferson; brother, Claude Wheeler, Jefferson; and several cousins.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 29, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Evans Funeral Home. Burial will be in Jackson Memorial Park in Commerce. The family will receive friends Monday, March 28, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
