Frances Legg (3-12-11)

COMER – Frances Rice Legg, 90, died Saturday, March 12, 2011.

She was the daughter of the late William Alphus and Lila Mize Rice. She was a native of Athens Clarke County and was a member of the Comer Baptist Church. Mrs. Legg was preceded in death by a brother, John Alphus Rice; and sisters, Sara Jo Forro, Betty Bagwell and Billie Ann McCorvey.

Survivors include children, Jimmy (Nedra) Legg, Mickey Legg, David (Ronnie) Legg; sisters, Patricia Shaw, Gwen Poole; and grandchildren, Stacy Anglin, Chris Anglin, Scott Legg, Travis Legg, Jeremy Legg and Noelle Jones.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 15, at 11 a.m., from the Comer Baptist Church with the Rev. Rodney Owens officiating. Burial will be at the Comer Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew Jones, Stacy Anglin, Chris Anglin, Scott Legg, Travis Legg and Jeremy Legg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, March 14, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Comer Baptist Church Building Fund.

Brown Chapel, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
