DEMOREST - Marshall L. Wilson, 96, died Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Habersham Home East following an extended illness.
Born in Batesville on March 03, 1915, he was a son of the late Martin Luther and Orphan Woods Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a World War II Veteran having proudly served in the United States Army Air Corp in the European Theatre. He retired as a manager with 33 years of service from Standard Brands, Inc., now known as Kraft Foods, Inc., and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Clarkesville. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Elizabeth Keesee Wilson; and nine brothers. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Julia Wilson, Newborn; grandchildren; Clare Beam, Arlington, Va. and Mark Wilson, Winder; great-grandchildren, Addison Wilson, Winder, and Alexander Beam, Arlington, Va.
Graveside services were held Monday, March 14, from the Yonah Memorial Gardens in Demorest with the Rev. Tommy Stowe and Bill Cashion officiating.

Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, was in charge of arrangements.
