COLBERT – Betty Brownlee White, 80, died Monday, February 21, 2011.
A native of Tucker, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Ruby Cash Brownlee. She was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church, Redan Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Tucker and was most recently active in New Haven Baptist Church of Athens. She was a floral designer for many years and was active in Paint Horse Association. Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Davis White. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, loved ones stated.
Survivors include four children, David White, Dale (Lisa) White, John (Cynthia) White, all of Colbert; Gerald (Tammy) White, Hartwell; sister, Christine New, Woodstock; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 23, at 3 p.m., at Floral Hills Cemetery in Tucker. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
