HOSCHTON – Evelyn Marie Tullis Roberts Pearson, 69, died Tuesday, February 15, 2011.
Born in Barrow County, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Loyd and Ethel Boss Tullis. Mrs. Pearson was retired from Dollar General, where she was a store manager and was a member of the New Liberty United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her companion, Wayne Collins, Hoschton; daughters, Elaine Roberts Gunter, Braselton and Pam Roberts Miller, Lula; son, David Craig Roberts, Creedmoor, N.C.; brother W.C. Tullis, Goyton; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 19, from the New Liberty United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gary Greenwald officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state in the church at 10:30 a.m., Saturday before the service. Honored as pallbearers are Brenton Roberts, Corey Miller, Jeremy Miller, Justin Gunter, Christian Padley and Jacob Ramey.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, February 18, at the funeral home.

So sorry to hear of Evelyn's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. At this time the promises found in God's word bring so much comfort and hope. He promises to resurrect our loved ones (Acts 24:15) and not only that but holds out the hope of us being re-united with them on a peaceful new world. How Evelyn will enjoy life then! (Psalm 37:10,11,29)These promises have brought comfort to so many of us and hope they will comfort you also.
