JEFFERSON – Alan W. Sick, 63, died Saturday, February 12, 2011.
Born in Cohocton, N.Y., he was the son of the late Raymond and Helen Strobel Sick. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Vietnam War, was retired from J.M. Huber in Commerce, and was a member of Crooked Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Sick was preceded in death by a brother, Lee Sick.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Sick, Jefferson; children, Barbara Sorrow and the Rev. Joel Sorrow, Commerce, Norma and Charles)Hayes, Nicholson, Philip and Michele Sick, Jefferson; sisters, Doris Sproul and Linda Sick, both of Cohocton, N.Y.; brother, Neil Sick, Cohocton, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 15, at 3 p.m., from Crooked Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Miles officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 2:30 to service time. Visitation will be Monday, February 14, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Nathan Sorrow, Andrew Sorrow, Craig Sick, Christopher Haynes, David Hayes and Ricky Hayes honored as pallbearers.
