COMMERCE – Rufus Beck, 93, died Sunday, February 13, 2011, at BJC Medical Center in Commerce.
Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Flanagan Beck. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Turner Beck; a son, Robert Beck; and daughter, Betty Jean Beck.
Survivors include sisters, Vernell Evans, Commerce, and Eddie Pearl Wiley and Sarah Covington, both of Carnesville.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 15, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry Webb officiating. Burial will be in the Apple Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, February 14, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
