HULL – Johnny L. “Buddy” Phillips, 82, died Saturday, February 12, 2011.
A native of Fulton County, he was the son of the late Earnest and Ethel Buice Phillips. He was preceded in death by sisters, Barbara, Virginia and Betty; a brother, Earnest Phillips Jr.; grandson, Scott Means; and a son, Douglas Edward Phillips.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Mae Phillips; children, Carol (Tom) Patterson, Johnny L. Phillips Jr. (Pattie), and Bonnie (Jimmy) Dennard; sisters, Lucille, Mary, Diane, Patricia and Marie; grandchildren, John “Buddy” Means, Glinda Strickland, Sandra De LaGarza, Jennifer Cook and Kristy Reynolds; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, February 15, at 11 a.m., at Colbert Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, February 14, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
