HULL – Bobby Dale Booth, 76, peacefully passed away at St. Mary’s Hospice House Tuesday, February 8, 2011, surrounded by his family following a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
He served his country with honor in the United States Army after which he retired from General Motors as a superintendent and went on to found B & M Auto Sales Inc. in 1990. He and his wife, Myrna, shared a joy of travel and visited all of the 48 continental United States. Other passions included love of cars, motorcycles, boating and salt water fishing. He personally built several buildings and enjoyed using his hands to figure out how things work. He attended Grace Fellowship Church in Snellville. Mr. Booth was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Myna Loy Brooks Booth; a son, Lanier Booth; daughter, Vicki Booth-Escarra; brother, Darold Booth; sisters, Jeanette Smith and Lucille Durham; five grandchindren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, February 12, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Buddy Hoffman overseeing the services. Burial will be in the Colbert Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Aaron Booth, Alex Booth, Brandon Booth, Randy Booth, Phil Booth and Greg Booth.
