CHATTANOOGA, TENN. - Joseph “Patrick” Garceau, 55, of Chattanooga, Tenn., formerly of Winder, died December 19, 2010.
Born in San Deigo, Calif., he was the son of the late Joseph C. Garceau and Maxyne G. Garceau.
Mr. Garceau moved to Winder at the age of two. He was a graduate of Winder-Barrow High School, class of 1973, the University of Georgia, class of 1977 and the Medical College of Georgia, class of 1981. He graduated from the University of Alabama/Birmingham with a fellowship of Medical Examiner in 1993. His medical practice includes Syracuse, N.Y., the U.S. Virgin Islands-St. Thomas and Washington, D.C.
Survivors include his former wife, Elizabeth Laughlin, Birmingham, Ala., stepson, Matthew Burke, Montgomery, Ala.; and a host of aunts, uncles and friends.
A private, family memorial service was held in Fountain Hill, Ark.
