JEFFERSON – Dorothy M. Hardt, 74, died Saturday, January 29, 2011, at her residence.
Born in Bayonne, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Konstanty and Josephine Czucza and had lived in Jefferson for the past 15 years. Mrs. Hardt was preceded in death by sisters, Claire Czucza and Pat Starita; and a brother, Stephen Czucza.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Heinz Hardt; two daughters, Paula Hardt and Heather Hardt; granddaughter, Montanna Alexis; and several nephews and nieces.
Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, February 2, at 10 a.m., at St. Matthews Catholic Church in Winder for a Funeral Mass. Burial will be at Barrow Memorial Park in Winder. The family will receive friends at the church fellowship hall following the burial.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Odyssey Hospice Healthcare of Athens or the American Cancer Society.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
