WINTERVILLE – Martha Ann Mize, 76, peacefully passed away Monday, January 10, 2011, at St. Mary’s Hospice House in Athens.
A native of Jackson County, she was born on February 22, 1934, the daughter of the late Lamar and Lois Mize.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Marsha Jordan, and Neal and Donna Jordan, Colbert; sisters, Nida Duane, Winder, Linda Dixon, Watkinsville; brothers, Wayne Mize, Hull, and Ron Mize, Watkinsville; grandchildren, Matthew Jordan, Leighanne Jordan, Christopher Jordan, Bailee Jordan and Logan Jordan; great-granddaughter, Adrianna Zachery; step-grandchildren, Madison and Jenna; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In honor of her earthly wishes, Martha’s remains were cremated. A memorial service will be held in her honor at the Colbert United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 29, at 2 p.m. The family will receive visitors from 1:30 to 2 p.m. at the church preceding the memorial service.
