J.W. Funderburk

PENDERGRASS – J.W. Funderburk, 65, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010.

He was a lifelong resident of Jackson County and was the son of Albert and Rosa Funderburk. He was the owner of Dixie Upholstery and was a member of Pond Fork Baptist Church. Mr. Funderburk was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Funderburk; and a brother, R.L. Funderburk.

Survivors include sons, Michael Funderburk and Kenneth Funderburk, both of Pendergrass; sisters, Hazel Nix, Fannie Lance, Ruby Franklin, all of Pendergrass, and Sadie Strange, Covington; brothers, L.C. Funderburk, Arcade, T.W. Funderburk and Johnny Funderburk, both of Pendergrass, Gene Funderburk, Clayton, and Larry Funderburk, Commerce; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, December 24, 2010, at Pond Fork Baptist Church.

Wards Funeral Home, Gainesville, was in charge of arrangements.
