JEFFERSON – James Roger Altmiller, 54, died Monday, January 17, 2011.
A native of Louisville, Ky., he was the son of Mary Altmiller and the late James Benjamin Altmiller.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his companion, Jenni Kelly; sons, Timothy Altmiller, Benjamin Altmiller and Andrew Altmiller; a brother, Joe (Carol) Altmiller; sisters, Debra (John) Harms and Patricia (Grady) Hester; nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Jeremy) Decou, Alicia Parker and Bud Altmiller; and five grandchildren.
Private services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Compassionate Hospice, 1435 Hawk Creek Circle, Suite 402, Cumming, GA 30041.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, Athens, is in charge of arrangements.

Roger,you will be so missed,especially your smile and your infectious laugh. I have always thought you were one of the most kind hearted men I've ever known. There is a song that will always remind me of you..... Teaching Angels How To Smile.
