Agnes Nix

MONROE - Agnes Undine Nix, 83, died at her residence following a period of declining health.

Born in High Shoals on December 3, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Georgia Shadden and was of the Baptist denomination. She enjoyed working with the Salvation Army. Mrs. Nix was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Edward Nix; one great-granddaughter; brother, James Shadden; and sister, Lorene Williams.

Survivors include daughters, Jo Jordan, Ila, and Laura Lackey, Monroe.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 20, at 2 p.m., from Galilee Christian Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Bill Hillman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, January 19, from 6 to 9 p.m.
