COMER – Geneva Berry Young, 85, died Sunday, January 9, 2011.
A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Artis and Lillie Graham Booth. Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Young.
Survivors include children, Melvin (Marilyn) Young and Roy Gene Young; a brother, James Booth; sisters, Betty McCannon and Cora Taylor; grandchildren, Brad Young, Melissa Patterson, James Young and Kelli Young; great-grandchildren, PFC Bryce Whitley, Brooke Patterson, Jill Patterson and Thomas Young; and great-great-grandchildren, Brandon Young and Kaden McDaris.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 15, at 2 p.m., from Colliers Baptist Church with the Rev. Gerald Brunson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, January 14, from 6 to 8 p.m.
