‘Bob’ Smith

JEFFERSON – Robert Lee “Bob” Smith, 70, died Wednesday, January 12, 2011.

Born on October 18, 1940, in Beverly, W. Va., he was the son of the late Leslie Smith and Lila Hoover. He was a member of the Heritage Baptist Church and was a veteran having served in the United States Army. He was in management with Wal-Mart for 15 years. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by a son, Robert Lee Smith Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Angie Stearns Smith, Jefferson; children, Adam Blake Smith and Christa Kosloske, both of Jefferson; sisters, Catherine Smith, Dayton, Ohio, and Helen Mimaros, Baltimore, Md.; brother, Marshall Smith, Baltimore, Md.; one niece; and seven nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 16, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Shane Hill officiating. Burial will be in the Evans Memory Gardens with Adam Smith, Vern Stearns, Brian Hanvey, John Mize, Tim Morris, Adam Smith and Jerry Hellums honored as pallbearers. The visitation will be held Saturday, January 15, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
