Grady Irwin Patrick, 67, died Monday, January 10, 2011, at Stephens County Hospital.
Born November 12, 1943, in Franklin County, he was the son of the late C.I. and Bessie Davis Patrick. He was a truck driver with Dowell Trucking Company. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Ila. Mr. Patrick was a gospel singer and an Elvis impersonator.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Poole Patrick; daughters and sons-in-law, Joy and Craig Crumpton and Melissa and Josh Britt, all of Winder; son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Macarena Poole, Lavonia; grandchildren, Levi Joshua Britt, Cameron, Cyle, and Carrie Ann Poole; siblings, Mary McElreath, John Henry Patrick, Clem Patrick, Jerry Patrick, Sandra Bryant, Eva Brown, Bobby Patrick, Ronnie Patrick, Debbie Bullock, Dedra Beard, Donna Burk halter, and Vickie Burkhalter.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2011, at Providence Baptist Church of Ila with the Revs. Albert Ivester and Josh Harvill officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. At other hours the family will be at the home.
Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to the Providence Baptist Church Sound System Fund.
Strickland Funeral Home, Lavonia Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
