COMER – Kloma Brooks, 69, passed away surrounded by her family, Tuesday, January 4, 2011.
A native of Auburn, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Hester Emmett Morris. Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Joe Loyd Brooks. She was a good and faithful wife, mother and grandmother loved ones stated.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Debbie and Godfrey Channell, George and Jane Brooks; brother and sister-in-law, Mackey R. and Liz Morris; four grandchildren, Trey (Renae’) Compton, Dylan Brooks, Savannah Channell, Matthew Brooks; and many other children who thought of her as a mother.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 7, at 11 a.m., from the chapel of Lord & Stephens, Danielsville, with the Rev. Glenn Guest officiating. Pallbearers will be Mike Pullian, Jimmy Compton, Fred Martin, Tim Christian, Cory Clements and Ty Martin. Burial will follow at Danielsville Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
