COMMERCE – Nona Lee Dodd, 91, died Thursday, January 6, 2011, at BJC Nursing Home.
Born in Commerce, she was the daughter of the late Young and Gertrude Burroughs Hawks. She retired from Blue Bell and was a member of Galilee Christian Church. Mrs. Dodd was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Dorsey Dodd.
Survivors include sons, Jimmy Dodd, Commerce, and Mickey Dodd, Danielsville; grandchildren, Perry and Lamar Dodd, Marty Elrod, all of Commerce, Pam Dodd, Hull, and Kelly Moore, Nicholson; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 9, at 2 p.m., from Galilee Christian Church with Minister Tom Plank officiating. Burial will be at Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, January 8, from 6 to 8.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
