Arthur McGinnis

Arthur Hoyt McGinnis, 90, of Nicholson, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at Fite Living Center in Cartersville.

Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Dossie L. and Mae White McGinnis. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rilla Fortson McGinnis; and a son, Larry McGinnis.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Linda McGinnis, Nicholson; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Greg Vincent, Adairsville; grandchildren, Corey Vincent, Tori McGinnis, and Mikki McGinnis;; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, August 1, at Cabin Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Troy Herbert officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
