COMMERCE – Mary Lou Kanady, 97, died Monday, December 27, 2010.

Born on September 13, 1913, in Hall County, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Nettie Thomas Satterfield. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist denomination. Mrs. Kanady was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Dean Kanady; and a son, T.J. Perry.

Survivors include daughters, Juanita Hickman, Mobile, Ala., Frances Mauldin, Winder, Inez Key, Dahlonega, Plum Stein; sons, Tollie Kanady, Nicholson, and Verlon Perry, Jefferson; 20 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and 26 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 30, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Vaughn Howington officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Gainesville.

Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
