ROYSTON – Ruth I. Lackey died Tuesday, December 28, 2010.
She was the daughter of the late Lee and Naomi Cleghorn Lackey. She lived in Charlotte, N.C. most of her life and was retired from Eastern Air Lines. She will truly be missed by a family that loved her. Mrs. Lackey was preceded in death by a sister, Bettie Gray; and brothers, Tom Lackey and Henry Lackey.
Survivors include sisters, Bonnie Campbell, Orlando, Fla., and Barbara Jordan, Danielsville; a brother, Gene Lackey, Hull; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, December 30, at 2 p.m. from the Gables Assisted Living Home in Royston.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
Lord & Stevens Funeral Home, Athens, is in charge of arrangements.
