LULA – Clarence Ned Cagle, 89, died Thursday, December 23, 2010, at his residence.
A lifelong resident of Hall County, he was the son of the late Allen and Angeline Poole Cagle. He was self-employed as a farmer and saw miller. He was a member of the Timberridge Baptist Church and was a veteran having served in the United States Army during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. Mr. Cagle was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Lipscomb Cagle; sisters, Claire Cagle, Bertha Cagle and Ethel Cagle; and a brother, Edgar Cagle.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Melvin Carlan, Maysville; grandchildren, Alice and Mark Meeks and Jeremy and Angela Carlan; great-grandchildren, Holly Meeks, Heather Meeks and Savannah Carlan.
Funeral services were held Sunday, December 26, from Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Swayne Carlan officiating. Burial was in the Timberridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
Little & Davenport Funeral Home, Gainesville, was in charge of arrangements.
