COMER – Doris Wagner Hunter, 88, died Monday, December 20, 2010.
A native of Camden, N.J., she was the daughter of the late John and Lillyan Vanderripe Wagner. Mrs. Hunter was preceded in death by a daughter, Doris Hunter Pfender.
Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Robert B. Hunter, Comer; sons, Robert John Hunter, Selma, Ala., James Robert Hunter, Gulfport, Miss., and John Hunter, Hull; daughter, Patricia Hunter Gibbon, Lawrenceville; brothers, John Wagner, New Jersey, and Charles Wagner, Virginia; 18 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 30, at 10 a.m., from St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Mission in Jefferson with Father Terry Crone officiating. Burial will be at National Cemetery in Canton. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 29, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Bernstein Funeral Home, Athens, is in charge of arrangements.
