PENDERGRASS – Bill Sanford Shadburn, 79, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010.
Born on July 22, 1931, in Forsyth County, he was the son of the late Ernie and Carrie Bennett Shadburn. He worked for Gainesville Mill and later Conagra, and was a member of Pond Fork Baptist Church. He was known for his wonderful laugh and sunny disposition, loved ones stated.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Cooper Shadburn, Pendergrass; a son, Danny Todd Shadburn, Pendergrass; daughter, Becki Jarrard, Hoschton; sister, Louise Whitmire, Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and H.B. Pennington, Winder; brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Rita Shadburn, Dahlonega; sister-in-law, Eurell Shadburn; brother-in-law, Lewis Payne; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 24, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Revs. Donny Pennington, Paul Shadburn, Johnny Knight and Gerald Blackburn officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday,
December 23, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Pond Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
