ROYSTON – Norma Jean Hudson Askew, 77, died Monday, December 20, 2010, at her residence.
Born in Atlanta on July 25, 1933, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Arabella Hayes Hudson. She was a homemaker and member of the New Hope Baptist church.
Survivors include her husband, Jim C. Askew Sr., Royston; a son, Jim C. Askew Jr., Royston; daughter, Donna Jean Golden, Austin, Texas; sister, Barbara Rutherford, Lawrenceville; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 23, at 2 p.m., at the New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Brian David officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel M. Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends Wednesday, December 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon. The family is at home.
Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, is in charge of arrangements.
