AUBURN - Gail Akins, 49, died Sunday, December 19, 2010.
A native of Barrow County, she was the daughter of Nolia England of Winder and the late D.C. England. Mrs. Akins was a member of Bethabra Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors in addition to her mother include her husband, Jeff Akins, Auburn; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Melissa Akins, Bethlehem; grandchildren, Parker, Avery and Pierce Akins; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Ester England, Auburn, Larry and Betty England, California, and David and Dee Dee England, Lawrenceville.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 21, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Carter Funeral Home, with the Rev. Landon Frymire officiating. Burial will be in Bethabra Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, December 19, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Carter Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
