Norman Hampton Currin, 62, of Winder, died Sunday, July 27, 3008.
Born in Baltimore, Md., he was the son of the late Ernest G. and Wina Francis Falchie Currin. He was a member of Emmanuel Worship Canter. Mr. Currin was a veteran, having served in the United States Army Airborne 1967-1971, in Vietnam and was at Hamburger Hill. He received a silver star. He was a member of the Patriot Guard, the Monroe Legion, the DAV and the 101 Airborne.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy D. Currin, Winder; daughter and son-in-law, Nina Francis and Danny Denny, Bethlehem; grandchildren, D.J. and Chynna Denny.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 2, at Emmanuel Worship Center with the Revs. Larry Pruett, Jeff Looney and Johnny Hix officiating. Burial was in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
