MONROE – Capt. William Henry Wariner III, 67, died Tuesday, December 7, 2010.
Born in Fulton County, he was the son of the late William Henry Wariner II and Margaret Lloyd Wariner. He retired in 1994 from DeKalb County Fire Department, where he served for 31 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Winder and a member of The Barrow County Historial Society. Mr. Wariner was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Wariner, Monroe; a daughter, Rebecca White, Monroe; grandchildren, Jason White Jr. and Emily White; and sisters, Gail Williams, New Smyrna Beach, Fla. and Sue Kinsey, Roswell.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 12, at 2 p.m., from Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Marion Prather officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 11, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
