Ruby Nell Scogin

COLBERT – Ruby Nell Tucker Scogin, 82, died Monday, December 6, 2010, at her residence.

Born in Madison County on May 2, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Albert D. and Zora Hopkins Tucker. She was a homemaker and member of the Rogers Baptist Church. Mrs. Scogin was preceded in death by her husband, George Robert Scogin; and sisters, Addie Bell Holland and Roberta Casey.

Survivors include sons, Paul McDaniel and Robert McDaniel, both of Colbert, and Donald McDaniel, Danielsville; daughters, Rose McDaniel and Flora Nell Bennett, both of Colbert; one stepson; two stepdaughters; brother, Crawford Tucker, Danielsville; sisters, Mary Coker and Annette Maxwell, both of Athens; 25 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 9, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Andy Huff officiating. Burial will be in the Kirk Family Cemetery in Colbert. The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour. The family is at home.
